Monitree was founded by Stuart Foster and Sabrina Ahmed. Two doctors with a combined experience of over 18 years working within the NHS and both part of the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme and the Mid and South Essex Innovation Fellowship Programme. Stuart is an Emergency Medicine Registrar with a degree in Economics and Management Sciences and Sabrina is a General Practice Registrar with a degree in Psychology.
We know from our own experience how hard it is to keep track of financial matters when you’re busy working within the NHS. Whether it was finding out how the pension scheme works, how to claim tax back on work expenses or how to lease a car through the salary sacrifice scheme, we found that the information was all over the place and often complicated.
As a result, we have created Monitree - a financial wellbeing app that has all the information you need in one place, written clearly and in a format you can easily access
Inclusive:
we want every NHS member of staff to enjoy and benefit from Monitree, regardless of where they work or what job they do
Impartial:
a lot of the information on Monitree is factual and objective, however where there is opinion, it is solely that of the authors and is not influenced by third parties
Informative:
we only create content which is clear, simple and useful for NHS staff
Free:
we don’t think staff should have to pay for financial wellbeing resources and therefore we do not charge employees for access to Monitree
Mindful:
we are proud to work with Ukrainian app developer Empat, supporting the Ukrainian economy during this very difficult time
We want NHS staff to think ‘Monitree’ whenever they have a query about anything money-related
We want every NHS member of staff to have access to and benefit from this free resource
We want to improve the morale of the NHS workforce by empowering staff to better understand and take greater control of their finances
